In its earliest stages, Landshare was led by a homemade kit of bells, stones, singing bowls, and pots and pans, recorded directly to tape in London in order to establish an improvisational palette from which the artists would later construct a full-length piece. The pensive, lo-fi nature of its percussive backbone was diversified with warm, tropical turntablism sourced in Chicago, offering shaded passages of bargain-bin respite in the midst of a dizzying spectrum of field recordings and quasi-musical events.

Bridging the fertile gap between bedroom recording and the exploratory wonder of concrete music, Landshare stretches across the Atlantic to reify a world qualified by opposites. Instruments and objects, tape loops and locked vinyl, solitary experiences and the indeterminate relationships that propel their being.

Ins & Ens is a collage-focused collaborative practice between London-based sound and visual artist Matt Atkins and Chicago field recordist Andy Klingensmith, whose shared principle interests include reductionism, chance, repetition and texture. All sounds were recorded or created by the authors, and all tracks were composed in tandem with exchanged and/or arranged materials.

Paintings and other supplemental artwork provided by Matt Atkins, whose equally impressive sound work has been featured over the years on labels such as tsss tapes, Econore, Antiquating Nowhere, Courier, TQN-aut, and Structured Disasters in various solo, duo, and group contexts.
